00:17:06 N: no pressure Gina lol
00:17:08 Dr. Gina Cleo: Replying to “Thankyou so much for…”

00:17:08 JW : Reacted to “Thankyou so much for…” with 👌
00:18:05 T: So great to see you again Gina. My AB and I have been swatting up on the previous series to solidify our learnings for this second series.

00:33:33 FB: Reacted to “And I pretty much lo…” with 😂
00:33:41 D: Reacted to “And I pretty much lo…” with 😂
00:34:19 SG: Reacted to “And I pretty much …” with 😂
00:35:58 Glenn Mackintosh: One of the coolest things about the last series was seeing how people applied the principles to SO MANY areas of their lives – when you know the base principles, you can apply them to ANY habits!
00:38:04 DP: Reacted to “And I pretty much lo…” with 😂
00:41:49 Glenn Mackintosh: A great take home message: ‘our brains are constantly rewiring’ 🙂
00:45:17 T: Learning about ego depletion last year with you led me to change lots of my behaviours, specifically minimising decision-making from my week days (by doing things like meal prep, planning my work snacks and lunches, and yoga-friendly outfits for my work-in-office days on a Sunday) and I feel much more in control during weeknight evenings.
00:47:01 FB: Sounds just like me.
00:53:39 M: periodic breaks? is this holidays or breaks in the day?
00:54:50 WB: Is ego depletion similar to ‘restraint bias’?
00:55:06 Glenn Mackintosh: I use the principles of ego depletion to help me power through work days. At least twice during the day I have a meal, and then go for a little walk break … taking the 20-25 minutes to fully switch off makes me so much more effective than ‘pushing through’ (/depleting my willpower so I can’t use it for the rest of the day!).

00:56:47 Glenn Mackintosh: I actually haven’t heard of restraint bias either!
00:57:08 DP: Reacted to “I use the principles…” with ❤️
00:57:10 BG: Reacted to “Creating Healthier H…” with 👍
00:57:43 SG: Thanks Gina that was all really interesting
00:58:06 JW : Reacted to “I use the principles…” with ❤️
00:58:39 CP: Replying to “I actually haven’t h…”

There’s your homework Glenn! 🙂
00:58:54 CT iPhone: Thank you so much 😊
00:59:15 SA: The restraint bias refers to our tendency to overestimate the level of control we have over our impulsive behaviors. These urges typically come from “visceral impulses” such as hunger, drug cravings, fatigue, or sexual arousal.
00:59:27 M: Any quantitative way to measurements f how strong a connection is?
00:59:40 M: thank you for the first session this has been amazing already!
00:59:47 D: thank you
00:59:50 CLB: Thank you for this I am looking forward
00:59:55 A: thank you so much
