Want to go (back) to the gym but feeling a little nervous?

The gym is not for everyone.  Some people feel about it the same way I feel about R&B music.  They never liked it in the first place, and are pretty sure they never will.

But for others it’s a great place.  Somewhere to release stress, test themselves, and meet new people, as well as developing health and fitness.

But even if it’s a great place for you to be, sometimes it’s hard to get – or get back – there.

When I got together with movement expert Libby Babet, she shared her favourite tip for overcoming fear of getting into the gym:  Preparing yourself physically and mentally by creating a movement culture.  This strategy applies to all types of formal movement, and it’s a wonderful (and wonderfully simple) idea.
